A home builders license is required by law to build a home for an individual or for sale in the state of Alabama. You can research licensees, review laws, rules and regulations, and find more information at the Alabama Home Builders Licensure Boards website, www.hblb.state.al.us. Workers compensation insurance coverage is provided through Alabama Home Builders Self Insurance Fund and our general liability insurance is provide through Alfa insurance. This protection is an added cost, however, it is necessary for both the contractor and the home owner. YOU SHOULD NOT CONSIDER BUILDING A HOME OR MAKING ANY HOME IMPROVEMENTS WITHOUT PROPER INSURANCE COVERAGE.
  • Jim Christopher Construction, LLC is a member of both the National Home Builders Association and the Greater Gadsden Home Builders Association, the NFIB (National Federation of Independent Businesses) and Jim Christopher is a member of The Carpenters for Christ.
  • Building a home is a large task with many decisions to be made. It's easy to become overwhelmed with the details of a new home. We have the staff available to assist you as much as needed. We have experience helping customers select brick and vinyl colors, roofing, paint colors, lighting, flooring, cabinetry, faucets and other components to a new home.
  • Estimates are free. We spend the time to provide you with a detailed estimate for your project. An initial meeting is held where we ask many questions so we can determine what you want in your new house. Nothing is more disappointing then to be shopping for items for your dream home only to discover that your builder has not allowed enough money in the contract price and in order for you to get what you wanted, you have to spend more money. We do the work on the front end to help you get the house you want with in the budget you have set.
